Schedule: Twice a week, preferably mornings
Employment Type: Part-Time
About the Role
We are looking for a creative, patient, and enthusiastic Art Teacher to provide engaging art lessons for three 7-year-old homeschooled students at a private residence in Makati.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who enjoys working with young children in a small, personalized learning environment. The ideal teacher will make art fun, hands-on, and inspiring, while helping the students build foundational artistic skills, confidence, creativity, and an appreciation for different forms of art.
Lessons should encourage the children to experiment, express themselves, and discover their own creative interests through a variety of projects, techniques, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for three 7-year-old students.
- Create a fun and structured curriculum that develops foundational art skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression.
- Introduce a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sketching, crafts, sculpture, mixed media, and other forms of visual art.
- Teach basic art concepts such as color, shape, form, texture, composition, perspective, and design in an age-appropriate and enjoyable way.
- Introduce students to famous artists, art movements, art history, and artistic traditions from different cultures through engaging activities and projects.
- Design hands-on projects that encourage imagination, curiosity, critical thinking, patience, and attention to detail.
- Adapt activities based on each child's interests, abilities, learning style, and pace.
- Encourage students to experiment creatively and develop confidence in their individual artistic abilities.
- Provide positive, constructive, and age-appropriate feedback.
- Maintain simple portfolios or records of students' artwork and progress.
- Recommend appropriate art materials, supplies, books, resources, and creative activities when needed.
- Keep the art-learning environment organized and ensure materials and tools are used safely.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress, interests, achievements, and areas for further development.
- Where appropriate, recommend or incorporate creative experiences such as museum/gallery visits, exhibitions, workshops, art competitions, or special projects.
What We're Looking For
- Background in Art, Fine Arts, Art Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching art to young children is highly desirable.
- Experience with homeschooling, private tutoring, enrichment programs, or small-group instruction is an advantage.
- Strong artistic skills and familiarity with a range of art materials, techniques, and mediums.
- Creative and able to design lessons that keep young children interested and engaged.
- Patient, encouraging, energetic, and comfortable working with 7-year-old students.
- Able to balance structured skill-building with creative freedom and exploration.
- Reliable, professional, organized, and able to communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Willing and able to teach in person at a private residence in Makati.
Schedule
Classes will be held twice a week, preferably during the morning, at a private residence in Makati.
The exact days and class times can be discussed based on the teacher's availability.
Why This Role?
This position offers the opportunity to teach in a small, personalized homeschool setting where you can get to know each student and have the flexibility to create meaningful, engaging art experiences.
Rather than teaching a large classroom, you will work closely with just three young learners—giving you the opportunity to nurture their individual interests, creativity, confidence, and artistic development.
If you love art, enjoy working with children, and believe learning should be creative, hands-on, and fun, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a brief introduction describing your experience teaching art or working with young children.
