Artificial Intelligence Developer

Summary

The AI Developer will have strong hands-on expertise in building, integrating, and optimizing AI-powered solutions across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has practical experience using AI pair-programming tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot to accelerate development, improve code quality, and streamline workflows. This role will work closely with product teams, architects, and business stakeholders to design intelligent features, automate processes, and support our AI-driven transformation initiatives.

Essential Functions

AI Solution Development

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions using LLMs, machine learning models, and relevant frameworks (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API, Fabric, Python, etc.).
• Build prompt flows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and intelligent automations.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing applications, APIs, and backend systems

Copilot & AI-Augmented Engineering

• Use GitHub Copilot / Microsoft Copilot to accelerate coding, refactoring, documentation, and test creation.
• Establish best practices for Copilot usage within the team, including prompt patterns, secure coding, and review processes.
• Pilot new Copilot features and optimize them for team adoption.
• Train teams on how to effectively leverage Copilot for development workflows.

Application & Platform Engineering

• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code following engineering and DevOps best practices.
• Create automated tests and leverage Copilot to support TDD, unit test coverage, and QA automation.
• Build APIs, microservices, and integration flows using platforms such as SnapLogic, MuleSoft, Azure Functions, or similar.

Data, Automation & Analysis

• Implement analytics pipelines and work with structured/unstructured data.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to connect models to enterprise data sources (Snowflake, Fabric, Azure Data Lake).
• Build automations that reduce manual effort across business and IT teams.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with product managers, architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement, sizing, and technical documentation.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging AI technologies and evaluate new tools for enterprise use.

Required Qualifications

• 37+ years of software development experience (Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar).
• Proven experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or other AI coding assistants in day-to-day development.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, or ML frameworks (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI API, LangChain, HuggingFace).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience building APIs, microservices, RAG workflows, or intelligent agents.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and modern development practices.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing enterprise AI governance, prompt engineering standards, or AI usage guidelines.
• Background in automation (Power Automate, Logic Apps, RPA tools, or integrations).
• Experience with CRM/ERP ecosystems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Dynamics) a plus.
• Prior involvement in AI POCs, prototypes, or AI-enabled product development.
