Role & responsibilities

Role Summary

Contribute to the development of AI-powered wiring harness routing optimization using A*, ACO, and Graph Deep Learning approaches. Work collaboratively with the senior lead to implement, test, and iterate on routing algorithms deployed on Azure cloud. Support data pipeline development, model training, and integration with existing NX CAD tools. Participate in GenAI-powered automation initiatives for future engineering projects.

Skills

• Solid understanding of graph algorithms (A*, Dijkstra's, heuristic search) and metaheuristic optimization (ACO, genetic algorithms)
• Familiarity with Graph Neural Networks (GNN/GCN/GAT) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, PyTorch Geometric)
• Proficiency in Python programming with experience in NumPy, SciPy, and data processing libraries
• Exposure to 3D geometry processing, mesh/point cloud data, or CAD file formats
• Working knowledge of GenAI/LLM tools (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, API integration)
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred) and containerization (Docker)
• Understanding of software development practices: Git, unit testing, CI/CD, agile workflows
• Ability to process and analyze large-scale engineering datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to algorithmic correctness
• Eagerness to learn domain-specific constraints and collaborate in a cross-functional team

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize A*+ACO routing algorithms under the guidance of the senior lead
• Develop data preprocessing pipelines for 3D harness geometry, BIW data, and KList connector databases
• Train and evaluate Graph DL models for route prediction and constraint satisfaction
• Write clean, well-tested, production-quality code with proper documentation and version control
• Support Azure deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization of the routing engine
• Generate NX-consumable output files (.OBJ, .CSV with control points) and validate against ground truth
• Contribute to GenAI-based tooling and automation for broader engineering team productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping AI products used by real users in production.
• Familiarity with API design (FastAPI, gRPC) for serving AI models.
• Knowledge of cost-efficient GPU/inference optimization strategies.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published work in AI/ML.
