Innovo Data LLP is seeking an AI/ML Engineer with at least two years of relevant professional experience to develop and deploy AI solutions for client projects.

We are looking for a strong Python developer with practical experience in Generative AI, large language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), who can turn business requirements into reliable applications.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and deploy AI applications using LLMs and RAG.
• Build data ingestion, document processing and retrieval pipelines.
• Integrate models with APIs, databases and existing applications.
• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, relevance and reliability.
• Improve application performance, latency and cost.
• Implement monitoring, testing and safeguards for production use.
• Work with clients and international project teams to understand requirements and explain technical decisions.
• Maintain clear documentation and support project handovers.

What we’re looking for

• At least two years of relevant professional experience in AI/ML engineering or applied AI development.
• Strong Python programming skills and sound software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building LLM or RAG applications beyond tutorials.
• Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies and prompt engineering.
• Experience with tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience developing APIs using FastAPI, Flask or similar.
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing and cloud deployment.
• Clear communication, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Desirable experience

• Deploying and supporting AI applications in production.
• Agent workflows, tool calling and workflow orchestration.
• Model fine-tuning using approaches such as LoRA or PEFT.
• AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Docker, CI/CD, SQL and data engineering.
• LLM evaluation, observability and security.

• Remote contractor role.
• Fee agreed according to experience and scope.
• Immediate or early availability preferred.
