Arts Teacher

1. Teaching & Learning:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.

• Introduce students to a variety of art techniques, media, and styles (drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, digital art, etc.).

• Differentiate instruction to cater for varied learning abilities, styles, and backgrounds.

• Integrate cross-curricular links between art and other subjects to support holistic learning.

• Encourage creativity, self-expression, and independent thinking in all students.

2. Curriculum & Resources Management

• Create a safe, inspiring, and organized art classroom environment.

• Manage art supplies, tools, and resources responsibly, ensuring safe use and storage.

• Display students’ artwork in classrooms, corridors, and during school exhibitions/events.

3. Assessment & Reporting

• Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to progress reports.

• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and share insights into student development.

4. Pastoral & Co-Curricular Support

• Support students’ emotional and social growth through positive relationships and classroom culture.

• Lead or assist in co-curricular art-related clubs, competitions, and cultural events.

• Contribute to school-wide arts projects, performances, and exhibitions.

5. Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous professional learning and attend training programs, workshops, and school curriculum updates.

• Collaborate with colleagues in sharing best practices and improving teaching standards.

• To adhere to all rules and instructions issued periodically by the school administration and academic team

6. Co-curricular Activities:

• Actively participate in school events, activities, and enrichment programs.

• Lead or assist in extra-curricular clubs, debate teams, or language-focused activities.

• Organize and participate in ECA / CCA activities.
