AS400 Admin

Location: Pune Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Administrator with strong expertise in AS400/iSeries environments, along with Linux/Unix administration. The candidate will be responsible for system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance management, and supporting HMC/LPAR environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support AS400 / IBM i environments.
• Manage and monitor HMC and LPAR configurations.
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Handle system upgrades, patches, backups, and recovery activities.
• Manage user access, permissions, and system security.
• Perform basic administration and troubleshooting across Linux/Unix environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, connectivity, and system-related issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and support teams for incident resolution.
• Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in production support and planned maintenance activities.

Must-Have Skills

• AS400 / IBM i Administration
• Linux Administration
• Unix Administration
• HMC (Hardware Management Console)
• LPAR / Logical Partitioning
• Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with IBM i system upgrades and migrations.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery and high-availability concepts.
• Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
• ITIL / production support experience.

Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of relevant experience in AS400/IBM i Administration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup from Pune.
