AS400/RPG Developer(Mid Level)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using RPG programming language on the IBM AS/400 (iSeries) platform
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code whilst adhering to established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with senior developers and other team members to design, develop and test new features and enhancements
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to continuously improve code quality
• Debug and troubleshoot existing applications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Support the maintenance and optimisation of legacy systems and databases
• Contribute to the analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Assist in the documentation of technical specifications and system designs
• Participate in testing activities including unit testing and integration testing

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong foundational knowledge of RPG programming language and its syntax
• Basic understanding of IBM AS/400 (iSeries) systems and their architecture
• Familiarity with database concepts and SQL, particularly DB2
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking ability
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to code quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills
• Experience with version control systems is a plus
• Previous exposure to COBOL or other legacy programming languages is advantageous

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php65,000.00 per month
