What they need

Day-in-the-life at Alinabal

Role: AS9100 Quality Compliance Technician

Reports to: Director of Quality | Department: 513

When the first shift starts humming, you’re already partnering with production to verify critical dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. You capture results with precision, flag anything that’s out of spec, and coordinate swift containment so product flow continues without compromise. Before lunch, you’ve wrapped a First Article Inspection (FAI) review and queued approvals; by afternoon you’re collaborating with engineering on a root-cause analysis that feeds a robust corrective and preventive action (CAPA). You round out the day updating quality records and prepping for an upcoming audit—keeping our AS9100/ISO 9001 practices audit-ready.

What you’ll do

  • Record inspection findings with clarity and accuracy; escalate nonconformances and support resolution.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis and CAPA activities under guidance of the Quality Manager/Director.
  • Maintain complete quality documentation aligned with our quality management system.
  • Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain to champion quality and keep product moving.
  • Support supplier evaluations and vendor conformance monitoring when needed.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits and drive follow-ups to closure.
  • Lead FAI reviews and approvals; act as the owner of the FAI metric and subject-matter expert (SME).
  • Perform DQR (Delegated/Designated Quality Representative) activities for customers.
  • Pitch in with additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Quality.

Skills and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework or an associate degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years in quality, inspection, or manufacturing support.
  • Hands-on familiarity with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or AS9100 is a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and documentation; strong accuracy.
  • Collaborative communicator with a learning mindset.
  • Basic PC proficiency; Microsoft Office and/or quality systems experience preferred.

Work environment and logistics

  • Environment: Manufacturing floor; proximity to industrial equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Physical demands: Sit/stand/walk for extended periods; regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs with assistance; manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision tools and detailed specs.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday; occasional overtime or weekends for production or audits.
  • Travel: Occasional trips to suppliers or other company sites.
  • PPE: Provided and required per safety protocols.
  • Growth: Clear pathways to advanced Quality roles tied to performance and development.

  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • AS9100 experience
