ASL DRIVER (CDL)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible ASL DRIVER (CDL) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating an Automated Side Loader (ASL) collection truck to service residential and commercial routes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and community service while adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential community services through efficient waste collection operations.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate an Automated Side Loader (ASL) collection truck in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Drive assigned residential and/or commercial routes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Operate truck controls to collect and service containers, maintaining safety and efficiency during each pickup.
• Safely maneuver the vehicle in residential neighborhoods, alleys, and tight areas, demonstrating excellent driving skills.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the truck.
• Report any vehicle, equipment, route, or safety issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide professional customer service to residents and community members, representing the company positively at all times.
• Follow all company safety policies and DOT requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with required endorsements, as applicable.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Safe driving record and ability to meet company and DOT requirements.
• Previous waste, refuse, sanitation, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to safely enter/exit the vehicle and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and follow assigned routes and instructions.
• Ability to work early-morning shifts, including a 5:00 a.m. start time, as scheduled.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent entering and exiting of the truck, sitting, reaching, bending, and operating vehicle controls. Employees may also be required to assist with container placement and other route-related duties.

Early is on-time, and on-time is late. We are looking for a dependable driver who takes safety, attendance, customer service, and accountability seriously.

Pay: From $195.00 per day
