ASME Single Hand Code Welder

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ASME Single Hand Code Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on pressure vessels as well as piping in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards, ensuring the integrity and safety of metal structures and components. Your expertise in various welding techniques, CAD drawing interpretation, and vessel fabrication will contribute to the successful completion of complex projects within our fabrication shops. Duties

• Perform welding using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), welding techniques in accordance with ASME codes.
• Read and interpret mechanical CAD drawings, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute welding tasks.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting sheet metal and metal components using plasma cutters, power tools, and hand tools.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites and in fabrication shops.
• Collaborate with team members during assembly, fabrication, and installation processes to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance using measuring instruments and visual testing methods in compliance with AWS standards.

Pay depends on experience!

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
