Asphalt Foreman

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead and oversee asphalt paving projects from start to finish. This role requires a motivated leader who excels in construction management, team supervision, and project coordination. The Asphalt Foreman will be responsible for ensuring that all asphalt paving operations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and project scheduling, with a proven track record in commercial or heavy civil construction environments.

Duties

• Supervise and manage asphalt paving crews, ensuring productivity and safety compliance on all job sites
• Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 and other project management software to meet deadlines
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to asphalt projects
• Oversee quality control measures, including material testing with tools like ohmmeters and ensuring adherence to construction safety regulations such as OSHA standards
• Manage project budgets, procurement of materials, and subcontractor contracts using Construction Management software like ProCore and Bluebeam
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, safety practices, and compliance with federal construction safety regulations
• Lead daily management meetings to communicate project goals, review progress, and address any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in heavy civil or commercial construction with a focus on asphalt paving projects
• Proven supervisory experience managing teams in a construction management role
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid for cost estimation and project planning
• Familiarity with construction drawing review, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
• Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and federal construction safety regulations
• Hands-on experience with construction site operations including pipeline work is preferred
• Excellent managerial communication skills for managing crews, subcontractors, and clients effectively
• Ability to utilize construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, and other relevant tools for project coordination
• Knowledge of construction regulations related to commercial projects and quality control procedures
• Valid OHmmeter certification or equivalent testing device proficiency is a plus
