Asphalt Roller Operator

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our paving crew. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating an asphalt roller in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate would also have experience and be proficient with a lute.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt roller during paving operations.
• Properly compact and finish asphalt.
• Use a lute to help smooth and shape asphalt as needed.
• Work closely with the paving crew and foreman.
• Perform basic equipment checks and keep the roller clean and maintained.
• Follow job-site safety practices and work efficiently as part of a team.
• Assist the crew with other paving tasks when needed.

Requirements

• Previous asphalt rolling experience required.
• Proficient with a lute.
• Reliable and able to work well with a crew.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from office in Rutherfordton each day.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
