Assembler

The Assembly Technician / Painter is responsible for assembling mechanical components and applying paint or protective coatings to finished products according to company specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and experience working with tools and painting equipment in a production environment. The role supports efficient manufacturing operations while ensuring products meet performance, safety, and appearance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings and work instructions
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming components
• Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers as required
• Ensure proper thickness, coverage, and finish quality according to company standards
• Monitor drying or curing processes to ensure proper adhesion and durability
• Maintain paint equipment and ensure safe handling and storage of paint materials
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain compliance with company quality standards and manufacturing procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks
• Maintain organized workstations and ensure all parts and materials are properly handled

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, painting, or fabrication preferred
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment
• Experience with spray painting equipment or industrial coatings preferred
• Ability to read basic technical drawings or assembly instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a production or shop environment
• Must be able to wear required PPE including respirators, gloves, and safety glasses

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
