Assembly Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer 5 (2nd Shift) - (Assembly Engineer)

📍 Pontiac, IL | 🕒 2nd Shift (3 PM - 11 PM) | 📅 12-Month Contract

We're seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support fuel injector assembly and testing operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

✅ Troubleshoot assembly and test equipment

✅ Investigate production/test failures and perform root cause analysis

✅ Support process improvements and validation activities

✅ Develop and maintain APQP documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow)

✅ Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Test teams

Requirements:

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

✔ 5+ years of Manufacturing, Process, or Assembly Engineering experience

✔ Experience with equipment troubleshooting and production support

✔ Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills

Preferred:

⭐ APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow experience

⭐ Assembly and test experience

⭐ Automotive, fuel systems, or precision manufacturing background

⭐ Experience with end-of-line testing or test benches
