Our Santa Ana facility includes an ISO Class 7 cleanroom and operates under an AS9100D-certified quality management system.

Position Overview

This hands-on position supports the manufacturing, integration, inspection, and testing of aerospace and defense hardware. The ideal candidate brings careful workmanship, technical troubleshooting skills, and experience working to controlled procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical hardware to controlled drawings and work instructions.
  • Fabricate, terminate, route, and install wire harnesses and cable assemblies; perform crimping and soldering.
  • Build test racks, electrical enclosures, breakout boxes, load boxes, and ground support equipment.
  • Use calibrated torque tools, precision hand tools, and assembly fixtures for hardware installation.
  • Perform continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and functional testing using approved procedures.
  • Operate multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and automated or manual test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, connector, and electromechanical issues with engineering and quality teams.
  • Document test results, anomalies, manufacturing travelers, inspection records, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain configuration control, traceability, ESD protection, FOD prevention, and cleanroom practices.
  • Support First Article Inspection, customer acceptance, and environmental testing as applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of aerospace manufacturing, electronics assembly, electromechanical integration, or related experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Experience with precision hand tools, crimping, soldering, and electrical test instruments.
  • Knowledge of wiring, connectors, cable assemblies, and mechanical fastening methods.
  • Ability to perform detailed work accurately and maintain clear manufacturing records.
  • ITAR eligibility required: must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR or have appropriate U.S. government authorization for applicable controlled access.

ITAR Compliance

This position may involve access to ITAR-controlled hardware, technical data, and manufacturing documentation. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to access applicable controlled materials and comply with Next3 export-control and security procedures throughout employment. U.S. citizenship is not specifically required if another applicable form of ITAR eligibility or authorization exists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, defense, or spaceflight hardware manufacturing experience.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with MIL-DTL-38999, Micro-D, D-sub, or similar high-reliability connectors.
  • Experience with automated harness testers, test racks, HITL systems, or ground support equipment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100D, ESD, FOD, cleanroom protocols, and FAI documentation.
  • Functional or environmental acceptance testing experience.

Work Environment

On-site precision bench assembly, electrical testing, and mechanical integration in controlled manufacturing and cleanroom environments. Detailed technical work and handling small components are required, with or without reasonable accommodation.
