Assembly Line Worker

Duties

• Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Sort recyclable materials from waste streams, including plastics, metals, paper, and hazardous materials in accordance with recycling protocols and environmental regulations.
• Manage the loading and unloading of recyclable materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring proper disposal of non-recyclable waste.
• Conduct inspections of equipment and materials to ensure operational safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and injuries during outdoor work activities.
• Assist in landfill management activities when necessary, supporting solid waste management efforts to optimize recycling processes.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or garbage trucks is highly preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation and maintenance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of recycling processes, hazardous materials regulations, and environmental compliance standards is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor settings under various weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
• Experience working outdoors in a physically demanding environment with a focus on sanitation and waste management is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure proper sorting and handling of recyclable materials.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
