Assembly Machine Operator

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

To assist the Production Technician`s in achieving the required output of assembled rounds while maintaining the safety, quality and efficiency standards in accordance with company guidelines and operating procedures.

Main responsibilities include:

• To follow all safety policies and special rule requirements that is required within the ammunition assembly area.
• To operate training ammunition assembly machines and all ancillary equipment. To inspect finished product, record data on a database and complete relevant written documentation.
• To pack components, wrap inner boxes and add labels to packaging as required.
• To ensure production quality standards are being maintained.
• To respond to and rectify some faults identified by machine control.
• To assist with making machine adjustments as required.
• To maintain and lubricate equipment as necessary.
• To maintain at all times, a clean and tidy work area as well as neat and precise paperwork.
• To carry out testing and sorting of components.
• To assist in building small batch runs on hand jigs.
• To assist with machine changeovers and machine maintenance.
• Any other duties as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will be/have:

• Previous Mechanical or machine operating skills are an advantage.
• A self-starter with good organisational ability.
• A good time keeper. Good attention to detail – good eyesight.
• Good hand to eye co-ordination.
• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Good command of the English Language.
• Must be over the age of 18.
• Willingness to learn and self-improve where possible.

Pay: From £14.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40.25 per week
