Assembly Machine Operator

Job Overview

1. As an assembly machine operator, you will be responsible for the entire assembly operation for the manufacture and testing of twin tube hydraulic dampers. Individual will have the setup capability for the entire line which includes: loading of hoppers and feed systems with components and changes in machine parameters.

2. Loading and unloading of all component, WIP and finished goods. Material handling equipment will be used to transport raw material and finished goods throughout the department. Must be capable of performing certain preventive maintenance tasks for all equipment used. Other tasks as required by management as schedule demands fluctuate.

3. Automatic assembly and test machines, computer equipment, infor XA, MES, and hand carts.

4. Adjust tooling and test equipment to accommodate tool wear and upkeep.

5. Responsible for maintaining machines and test equipment in order to achieve maximum efficiency and quality of parts produced. Stops further production of product that does not meet customer requirements and notifies Supervisor of any quality discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.

6. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing Statistical Process Control (SPC) data from test stations. Will be required to record all transaction reports for material moves. Record keeping also includes the tracking and documentation of manufacturing work orders.

7. Individual will be responsible for proper communication of information to all team members.

8. Requires contact with oil, Loctite, clean up solvents and detergents.

9. Continuous lifting required for loading and unloading assembly and test equipment. Up to 40 lb. lifting required for component boxes.

10. High School education required.

Pay: $19.18 - $22.77 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
