Assembly Operator Trainee - Multiple shifts

Role Summary Performs work associated with the operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Job Details

• Position Type: Full time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)
• Shift: Multiple Shifts- 2nd (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) 3rd (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Availability to train on 1st (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Work Location: Onsite - Farmington Hills, MI 48335
• Compensation: Salary range: $17.50+, based on experience and qualifications
• Shift Differentials: +$1.00/hr for 2nd shift and +$1.25/hr for 3rd shift

Key Responsibilities

• Operate assigned mechanical equipment
• Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
• Read and interpret blue prints if applicable
• Use basic measuring instruments
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies

• Ability to interpret work instructions
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Basic mathematical skills

Qualifications (Required)

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: Minimum of 0 to 2 years of experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Perform work under general supervision
• Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
• Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
