Assembly Operators

About the role

You'll inspect, assemble and pack precision machined components and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications. This position is suitable for individuals who enjoy assembly work with miniature parts, work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to drawings, work instructions and BOMs
• Clean, deburr and handle precision parts, including engineering plastics, without causing damage or contamination
• Fit and fasten parts such as inserts, pins, screws and fittings, using hand tools and torque tools
• Carry out visual and basic dimensional checks using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and pin gauges
• Record work accurately and report defects or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor
• Pack finished parts to customer requirements and prepare them for delivery
• Keep the workstation clean and organised, and follow safety and housekeeping rules

About you

• Experience in assembly, machining or QC experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read basic engineering drawings, or willing to learn
• Good eyesight, steady hands and patience for fine, detailed work
• Own transport is preferred
• Experience in automation assembly is a strong advantage
