Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Fitter

Kilner's Engineering is seeking a practical and reliable Assembly Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Vehicle Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Bulimba.

This is a permanent full-time, hands-on role assembling and finishing a range of OEM products, including trailers for the mining industry. Components are manufactured in-house and the role includes component preparation, mechanical assembly, detailing, packing and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of finished products and trailers
• Prepare components for assembly, painting and plating
• Use hand, power, torque and measuring tools
• Finish, pack and dispatch completed products
• Receive and organise stock and maintain inventory
• Assist with general workshop and production duties
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop

About You

• Experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle fitting, automotive, manufacturing or engineering
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills
• Able to read technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable and comfortable working independently or within a team
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
