Assembly Technician

We have an immediate opening for a mechanic to join our production team. This is a full time position in our Burnaby warehouse primarily building new equipment and occasionally repairing customers’ equipment brought in for repair or service. There is in field work required and position is not suitable for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling multiple styles and sizes of pumps
• Testing pumps and documenting the results for quality control
• Troubleshooting and repairing customer’s equipment that has been brought in for service
• Wiring and programming variable frequency drives and documenting the settings
• Configuring Plate heat exchangers based on plate diagram drawings
• Building custom hose assemblies
• Maintaining your workspace and tools to ensure that they are ready for use at all times.
• Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and efficient shipment processing.
• Occasionally operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to backup the Shipper

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, electrician, millwright, or occupation
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school or apprenticeship in mechanical trades
• Trade or engineering certificate
• Certification in forklift operation.
• Familiarity with craft food and beverage production equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
