Assembly Technician - Jamac

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation and assembly of sheet metal products, including ductwork, ventilation systems, and equipment casings in industrial facilities.
• Help in measuring, cutting, and shaping sheet metal materials according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Support skilled sheet metal workers in the layout and design of complex systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely.
• Follow safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and transporting them to job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment as required.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors or lead workers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial construction or sheet metal work is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in sheet metal work.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions accurately.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and techniques.

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, level).
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
• OSHA 10 certification obtained within the last 5 years is required.
