Assembly Technician (Semiconductor)

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and test electrical / electro-mechanical / vacuum / pneumatic assemblies and components using schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists and work instructions
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations including troubleshooting and rectification of faults
• Use test fixtures and measurement equipment (e.g., leak detectors, vacuum pumps) to test assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Update work progress / expenses / labour details via computer terminal; may support basic programming, repair or software installation when required
• Conduct parts receiving and audits to ensure required materials are available for build/test/repair
• Inspect parts for defects and support improvements in troubleshooting and work processes
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with workplace safety, health and security standards at all times

Job Requirements

• Minimum Nitec in Engineering or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant experience
• Comfortable with clean room environment
• Able to follow technical drawings, schematics and work instructions
• Comfortable with hands-on assembly and troubleshooting work
• Willing to work on shift schedule (preferred shift can be indicated)
