Duties

• Assist with mechanical assembly tasks by following detailed blueprints, schematics, and production documents to ensure accurate construction of components and systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment to assemble parts according to specifications
• Measure parts precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to support accurate assembly processes
• Support machining operations by understanding basic shop math principles and assisting with component fitting
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and safety guidelines
• Participate in manual handling activities required for moving materials and assembled components safely within the shop

Skills

• Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents accurately
• Basic mechanical knowledge including understanding of mechanical assemblies and component fitting
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, soldering equipment, and specialized industrial tools
• Strong manual handling skills combined with good shop math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to interpret technical drawings related to mechanical blueprint interpretation and machining processes
• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes, including soldering techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments
• increased starting pay if you already have a working knowledge of hydraulics and/or electronics.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week

Experience:

• Hydraulics: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
