What they need
- Asset Disposal Execution: Identify, inspect, and prepare assets (e.g., computers, vehicles, furniture) for disposal, sale, or donation.
- Inventory & Record Management: Maintain updated records of all assets, updating the Asset Register to reflect transfers, repairs, and disposals.
- Data Destruction & Security: Ensure proper sanitization of IT assets (servers, laptops, phones) to protect confidential data before disposal, typically adhering to ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) protocols.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with accredited haulers, recyclers, and third-party vendors for waste management and equipment disposal.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, check, and secure signatures for Asset Disposal Forms and ensure compliance with internal, legal, and environmental regulations.
- Audit Support: Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile physical assets with company records.
