The client is seeking an Asset Management and Pensions Programmes Support Consultant to provide full-time programme management, operational, communications, advocacy and governance support across two pan-African membership associations serving the pensions and asset-management sectors.

The assignment will help the associations deliver their annual work plans, deepen member and stakeholder engagement, strengthen visibility and knowledge outputs, and maintain effective operational and financial controls. The ideal candidate will combine credible African financial-sector experience with hands-on programme coordination, high-quality written communications and confidence working with senior regulators, industry participants and partners.

Deliverables

• Deliver integrated programme planning, implementation tracking, risk management and reporting across the two associations’ annual work plans.
• Coordinate governance meetings, conferences, workshops, webinars and other member-facing events, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up on decisions.
• Develop and deliver communications, advocacy and knowledge products that raise visibility and engagement, including policy briefs, thought pieces, newsletters, event content and digital communications.
• Support membership growth, onboarding, member engagement, partnership development and resource-mobilisation activity.
• Coordinate research commissioning, review, dissemination and member or external-stakeholder inputs on relevant policy and industry issues.
• Maintain governance, administrative, budget, financial-record and donor-reporting support, escalating risks and variances appropriately.

Requirements Experience Required

• At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including at least three years in programme management, operations or a comparable coordination role.
• Demonstrated experience in pensions, asset management or the wider African financial-services sector.
• Proven delivery of programme or project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
• Experience in communications, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, including professional written content and digital-platform management.
• Experience with membership associations, regulatory bodies or development finance institutions is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a multicultural or pan-African environment.

Technical Requirements

Terms of Agreement
