Asset Management Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Asset Management Engineer to support the strategic, tactical, and operational management of power plant assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing asset management programs, analyzing equipment performance and reliability, optimizing maintenance strategies, and ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively throughout their lifecycle.

This role plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability and availability of generation assets while supporting long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Lifecycle Management

• Conduct equipment lifecycle evaluations and reliability assessments.
• Analyze equipment failures and lead root cause investigations.
• Develop recommendations for asset replacement, refurbishment, and risk mitigation.
• Perform maintenance cost-efficiency and lifecycle cost analyses.

Maintenance Planning and Work Order Management

• Develop preventive and routine maintenance programs.
• Prepare maintenance plans, procedures, and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
• Review equipment manuals and technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
• Monitor work orders and ensure timely execution of planned maintenance activities.

Asset Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and evaluate key asset performance indicators.
• Analyze equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Generate reports and recommendations to improve plant performance and reliability.

Spare Parts and Resource Management

• Develop and review spare parts strategies and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and review of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for maintenance and outage activities.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of materials and service requirements.

Budgeting and Asset Management Planning

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of maintenance and asset management budgets.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Asset Management Plan (AMP).
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and company policies.
• Participate in risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory and industry requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• At least 3 years of experience in coal-fired power plant operations, maintenance, asset management, reliability engineering, or related industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of maintenance management, asset lifecycle management, and reliability engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using CMMS, ERP systems, or maintenance planning software.
