The Role

We are looking for a Assistant Accountant to take ownership of the purchase ledger, payroll, expenses and inventory-related reconciliations within a busy finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role with real responsibility and ownership, including liaison with warehouses at month end.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end purchase ledger processing, including supplier payments and reconciliations

• Monthly payroll processing, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Processing employee expenses in line with company policy

• Supporting month-end close activities

• Maintaining inventory items and SKUs within Microsoft Dynamics

• Supporting inventory costing and accurate posting to the general ledger

• Processing inventory transfers, adjustments, and write-offs

• Working in Microsoft Dynamics to ensure accurate and timely postings

About You

• Strong experience in purchase ledger / accounts payable

• Payroll processing experience

• Experience supporting inventory reconciliations or working with warehouse data

• Confident with month-end support

• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (Not Essential)

• AAT part qualified/ AAT qualified or studying CIMA / ACCA

• Organised, accurate, and comfortable working to deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
