About the role

Our client, a well-established 3PL company with regional operations, is looking to add an Assistant Accountant to its Hong Kong finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting support, covering vendor payments, staff claims, banking transactions and fixed assets
• Check invoices and prepare payment runs in line with internal approval procedures
• Carry out account reconciliations and support the monthly close process
• Keep accounting records and vendor master data accurate and up to date
• Coordinate with colleagues in other offices and external parties where needed
• Assist with year-end audit schedules and internal management reports
• Support system or process enhancement projects and ad hoc assignments

About you

• Higher Diploma or above in Accounting or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; hands-on experience in accounts payable, banking and fixed assets preferred
• Knowledge of ERP systems and BI reporting tools (SAP an advantage)
• Good MS Excel skills; comfortable working with Chinese documents
• Careful, well-organized and able to work to month-end deadlines
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• A team player with a willing-to-learn attitude
