Assistant Accountant

Lusona Consultancy are Exclusively partnered with a Manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Glasgow to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join a globally recognised Scottish manufacturer whose products are used around the world. The Assistant Accountant will work as part of a Team of 3, reporting to the Financial Controller and providing hands-on operational accounting support across the business. Our client are a growing operation with an excellent culture and environment for the Assistant Accountant to utilise their experience and progress. Our client offer a competitive benefits pack including a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, 35 hour working week including early finish on friday, 33 days annual leave and generous pension scheme.

The Assistant Accountant will join a collaborative organisation with exposure across finance and operational reporting. You will be involved in ledger accounting and reconciliation, payroll and expenses management and monitoring AP/AR transactions, tracking aged debt. You will support on month-end activities and supporting with general ledger accounting and supporting the business on KPI's an analysing performance.

This is a hands on role within a SME environment with a varied workload and opportunity to support with systems developments and enhancements along the way.

Responsibilities:

• Bank & supplier statement Reconciliations
• Supporting with month-end and analysis
• KPI reporting alongside operational leaders
• Payroll and expense coordination with overseas bureaus
