Assistant Accountant/Accounting Officer - 5 days' work

About the role

This role involves handling routine accounting functions and day-to-day accounting activities to support the organization's financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle routine accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and expense reimbursement transactions
• Prepare journal entries, payable and receivable transactions
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions, resolve account discrepancies
• Prepare online payments and update payment records in system
• Collaborate with accounting team members to support various departments and activities on a daily basis
• Assist in stock take process
• Assist in month-end closing and general accounts administration
• Support ad hoc projects and assignments as required

About you

• LCCI higher or above in accounting or related discipline
• Around 5 years of working experience in accounting field
• Proficiency in MS Excel (PIVOT TABLE, VLOOKUP), Word and Chinese word processing
• Proficiency in XERO & MYOB is MUST
• Proactive work attitude, able to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and/or processes
• Detail-minded, well-organized, responsible and self-motivated
• Team player with good communication skills and interpersonal skills
