Assistant Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations covering AP, payments, Fixed Assets, Inventory, GL, and Treasury, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
• Lead the AP, Fixed Assets, and Inventory teams, reviewing transactions, reconciliations, supporting documents, and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, journal entries, cost allocations, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory and fixed asset controls, including stock counts, asset verification, reconciliations, and variance investigation.
• Support cash management and treasury operations, including daily cash monitoring and international payment documentation.
• Review tax filings and compliance, including VAT and withholding tax submissions.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and work closely with Procurement and other cross-functional teams to maintain strong financial controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, TFRS, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Solid experience in inventory reconciliation, fixed asset management, VAT, withholding tax, and import-related documentation.
• Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Odoo is an advantage.
• A valid CPD license is required; CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
