Assistant Accounting Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accounting Manager to support the company’s accounting and controllership activities. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting of inventory, expenses, accruals, fixed assets, right-of-use (ROU) assets, and other assigned accounts. The position will also support month-end closing, financial reporting, internal controls, and external audit activities while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing activities, including account analysis, variance reviews, and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting of inventory, expenses, accruals, fixed assets, ROU assets, and other assigned accounts.
• Review accounting records and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported.
• Coordinate with Operations and other departments to ensure accounting processes support business requirements.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external audit requirements and help ensure timely completion of audit activities.
• Support internal audit requirements and maintain proper documentation.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure accounting practices are aligned with PFRS and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects and other finance-related assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• At least 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Good understanding of PFRS and internal control requirements.
• Experience in the fintech industry is an advantage.
• Experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Pay: Php65,000.00 - Php72,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Makati
