Assistant Accounting Manager (CPA Required)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accounting Manager (CPA) to support the Accounting Manager in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls. The successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, compliance with applicable accounting standards and government regulations, and efficient delivery of accounting services to clients.

The ideal candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and experience communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Review financial statements, general ledger accounts, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), and applicable BIR regulations.
• Monitor tax compliance requirements, including the preparation and filing of applicable tax returns and supporting documents.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related accounting entries, and other financial transactions.
• Coordinate with clients regarding accounting concerns, financial reports, tax requirements, and other deliverables.
• Respond to client inquiries professionally and provide appropriate accounting and financial guidance.
• Assist in managing client accounts, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring the timely submission of deliverables.
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate accounting issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in supervising, mentoring, and evaluating accounting staff to ensure productivity and quality of work.
• Collaborate with other departments to address financial and operational concerns.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or management.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active Philippine CPA license.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or an equivalent accounting-related qualification.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Experience in financial statement preparation, general accounting, tax compliance, and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
• Experience handling client accounts and communicating directly with clients is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrated leadership, attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.

Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
