Assistant Accounts Manager

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger and taxation matters.

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, reconciliations and financial analysis.

• Monitor cash flow, costing, closing stock and intercompany transactions.

• Assist in month-end/year-end closing, audit activities and liaise with external auditors when required.

• Support the Accounts Manager in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and smooth operations of the Accounts Department.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to full-set accounts.

• Experience in group accounts, subsidiaries, intercompany transactions or financial consolidation will be an added advantage.

• Familiar with accounting standards, taxation, audit and statutory requirements.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Able to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good communication, coordination and team supervision skills.

Educational Background:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification or partial qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
