Assistant Architect

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Assistant Architect to join our team in Butterworth. The successful candidate will assist the architectural team in preparing drawings, coordinating projects, and supporting the smooth execution of architectural works from design development through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Architect in developing architectural designs, drawings, and documentation.
• Prepare and update architectural drawings using relevant design software.
• Assist in preparing submission, tender, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings and conduct site visits when required.
• Assist in monitoring project progress and ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist with project documentation, reports, and other administrative tasks related to projects.
• Make revisions to drawings and designs based on project requirements and instructions.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Architect or management.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture / Architectural Studies or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with relevant working experience will be an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or other architectural design software.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction details, and documentation.
• Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Responsible, organised, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Candidates based in Butterworth / Penang or nearby areas are encouraged to apply.
