Assistant / Associate Director, Construction Management

The Position

• Lead the construction management team in driving and delivering all works projects of the innovation and technology (I&T) land in the San Tin Technopole, with a focus on site formation, civil infrastructure, and building development, to ensure completion on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards
• Spearhead the construction management team to uphold professionalism, build effective partnerships, and pursue operational excellence
• Lead site formation and land activation in low-lying areas, including fishpond backfilling, soft ground treatment, dewatering, and drainage schemes to establish stable building platforms
• Manage project administration and closely monitor the performance of resident site staff (RSS), consultants, and contractors while enforcing rigorous site safety and environmental compliance
• Proactively communicate project requirements and interface issues to internal project teams, government authorities, utility undertakers, and local community stakeholders
• Utilize advanced analytical and conflict-resolution skills to resolve complex engineering challenges, site constraints, and contractual disputes
• Identify critical project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact and ensure the successful achievement of project milestones
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Management

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil / Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Member of a recognized local professional institute
• Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in civil engineering, site formation, structural design, or construction management
• Proven construction management track record within Government, public body, client-side developers, or main contractors
• Specialized experience in low-lying land development, fishpond backfilling, soft-ground engineering, foundation, construction of I&T related superstructure developments is highly preferred
• Solid experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary civil projects from inception to completion and handover, including claims evaluation and EOT assessments
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for site formation, land acquisition and project development in Hong Kong
• Self-driven, independent leader with exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
