POSITION 1: AUDIT LEAD / ASSISTANT AUDIT MANAGER - External Audit

Job Description

The Audit Lead / Assistant Audit Manager will oversee audit engagements, review audit work, address technical accounting and audit matters, and support the development of audit teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple external audit engagements
• Review audit work and financial statements for compliance with applicable standards
• Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues
• Summarize key engagement matters for Partners and Managers
• Coordinate audit teams and monitor engagement resources
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to team members
• Ensure compliance with audit methodologies and applicable Australian standards
• Assist Partners and Managers with business development initiatives

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field
• CPA qualification or similar professional qualification
• 4–5 years of external audit experience
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards
• Working knowledge of the Corporations Act and other applicable legislation
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous team management experience is an advantage

POSITION 2: INTERNAL AUDITOR

Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance

Job Description

The Internal Auditor will conduct end-to-end internal audit activities, assess risks and controls, identify areas for improvement, and support effective risk management and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end internal audit engagements
• Conduct risk assessments and identify key business and operational risks
• Evaluate internal controls, processes, and governance frameworks
• Identify control gaps and recommend practical remediation strategies
• Prepare audit reports, findings, and recommendations
• Monitor remediation activities and follow up on agreed action plans
• Work with stakeholders to improve risk management and internal control effectiveness
• Apply internal audit and risk management methodologies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of end-to-end Internal Audit experience
• Experience within an Australian regulatory and compliance environment
• Background in Big 4, consulting, or professional services is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of risk management, risk assessment, mitigation, remediation, and internal audit
• Knowledge of ISO 31000 is an advantage
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
