Assistant Baker

You will be supporting the head and sous baker in their daily production of bread. We

offer a supportive team, good working environment, and valuable experience in

bread making. You should take pride in your work and perform the following duties

and responsibilities.

• Familiarize yourself with the names and characteristics of all bread types that

the company sells.

• Shape different varieties of bread

• Prepare fillings, toppings, and decorations

• Monitor temperature control, proofing times and development of bread

• Package and label finished products

• Bake different types of bread and be knowledgeable of their different bake

temperature and times

• Work in a fast paced environment

• Assist Head and Sous Bakers with other daily needs

• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

• Maintain a clean workplace and perform cleaning tasks at the end of the day

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations

• Monitor ingredient and packaging supplies

• Check product quality, freshness, and appearance

• Rotate stock using First-in, First-out Principles (FIFO)

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries

• Liaise finished product deliveries to delivery drivers

• Must be able to manage time well and work efficiently

• Maintain high standards at all times
