The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who anticipates needs, communicates clearly, coaches service teams with care, and understands that every detail contributes to a memorable club experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make elevating the member and guest experience the primary focus of every event by anticipating needs, personalizing interactions, and helping ensure each person feels recognized, welcomed, and well cared for.

  • Assist the Director of Banquets with planning and executing banquet events from setup through breakdown.

  • Supervise and lead banquet staff during events, modeling warm, attentive, polished service that reflects club standards.

  • Ensure banquet rooms, tables, equipment, and service areas are properly set up before each event.

  • Monitor food and beverage service to ensure quality, presentation, and timing meet expectations.

  • Engage professionally and proactively with members and guests, resolving questions, concerns, and special requests in a way that protects and enhances the overall experience.

  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen, event planners, vendors, and other departments.

  • Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of banquet employees.

  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed throughout an event.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized banquet environment.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and responsible alcohol-service practices.

  • Assist with inventory, equipment, supplies, and event-related paperwork.

  • Handle unexpected challenges calmly, discreetly, and solution-first so members and guests experience confidence, continuity, and care.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Attend weekly BEO meetings, Food & Beverage meetings, and leadership meetings to support event planning and operational excellence.

  • Previous experience in banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or event operations required.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.

  • Strong member-service mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to create a welcoming, polished experience.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to notice and correct small service details before they affect members or guests.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize during high-volume events.

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required by events.

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move equipment for extended periods.
