Assistant Bar Manager

Report In Pub is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Bar Manager to support daily bar operations and help deliver excellent customer service. The successful candidate will assist with staff supervision, beverage quality, inventory management, and shift coordination while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring responsible alcohol service and high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Bar Manager with daily bar operations.
• Supervise, train, and support bartenders and bar staff.
• Coordinate staff schedules, shift assignments, and break times.
• Ensure consistent beverage quality, preparation, and presentation.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues effectively.
• Assist with drink menu updates and beverage promotions.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and beverage supplies.
• Help place supplier orders and maintain accurate stock records.
• Monitor beverage costs and minimize waste.
• Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and payment procedures.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with applicable laws.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the bar.
• Check bar equipment and report maintenance requirements.
• Support staff training and performance improvement.
• Coordinate with kitchen and floor teams to maintain smooth service.
• Assist with sales monitoring and daily operational reports.
• Ensure opening, closing, and shift handover procedures are completed.
• Support compliance with workplace health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in bar, pub, or hospitality operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and other beverages.
• Understanding of inventory management and beverage cost control.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
