Assistant Barn Manager

The Public House is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Bar Manager to support daily bar operations and assist with leading the beverage and service team. This role involves coordinating staff, supporting guest service, maintaining beverage standards, monitoring inventory and supplies, and helping ensure smooth operations throughout each shift. The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills and is comfortable working in a busy bar and hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily bar operations and guest-service activities.
• Support the Bar Manager with staff coordination and shift workflow.
• Help assign bartender and bar staff responsibilities throughout each shift.
• Guide and support bartenders and service team members during busy periods.
• Monitor beverage quality, order accuracy, cleanliness, and guest-service standards.
• Assist with employee training, onboarding, and day-to-day coaching.
• Handle routine guest questions, requests, and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor beverage inventory, bar supplies, glassware, and service materials.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and restocking bar supplies.
• Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bar and service areas.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily operational checklists.
• Help maintain efficient guest and order flow during busy service periods.
• Communicate staffing, inventory, supply, and operational needs to the Bar Manager.
• Follow applicable food-safety, sanitation, workplace, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous bar, restaurant, hospitality, or beverage-service experience.
• Previous bartender, shift-lead, or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced bar environment.
• Good attention to beverage quality, cleanliness, inventory, and service details.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory procedures, and bar operations is helpful.
• Able to support, train, and work effectively with a service team.
• Professional and respectful approach to guests and coworkers.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
