Assistant Building Manager

About the role

Assist the Building Manager in daily operations, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and functioning efficiently. This role involves supervising building maintenance, cleaning, and security teams, coordinating repairs and renovations, managing vendor relationships, and addressing tenant and stakeholder inquiries while ensuring compliance with local building regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Building Manager in daily operations, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and functioning efficiently.
• Supervise building maintenance, cleaning, and security teams to ensure high service standards.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and vendor management while maintaining strict cost controls.
• Address tenant and stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, safety standards, and operational policies.

About you

• Diploma or degree in Property/Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building or facilities management.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with property management software.
• Knowledge of local building regulations (Strata Management Act) and safety practices is a plus.
