Assistant Buyer

About the role

This role involves managing order raising and maintenance, ITB creation, ticketing requests, and range sheets. You will contribute creative input, conduct trend research including sustainability options, and manage CAD requirements in Illustrator and Photoshop. You will maintain daily communication with the vendor base, ensure production deadlines are met, and build relationships with new and existing suppliers. You will liaise with the Planning Team, QA technicians, Print Designers, and other business departments, while ensuring adherence to company policies, B Corp standards, and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Managing order raising and maintenance, ITB creation, and ticketing requests
• Keeping range sheets updated
• Contributing creative input and conducting trend research, including sustainability options
• Managing CAD requirements in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Maintaining daily communication with the vendor base
• Ensuring production deadlines are met
• Building relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Liaising with the Planning Team, QA technicians, Print Designers, and other business departments
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, B Corp standards, and relevant legislation

About you

• Strong attention to detail, time management, planning, and organizational skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Illustrator, Momentis, +RS, and Explorate
• Prior experience as a Buying Assistant, specifically with wovens/production and overseas/direct suppliers
• Tertiary qualification is desirable
