What they need

Our Story

StateCover's purpose is to keep people safe, well and working. A SIRA licensed specialised insurer, we deliver workers compensation insurance solutions exclusively for local Government in NSW.

As a Mutual, we work differently. We're trusted partners to our Members (insured local councils), collaborating closely to protect their workforce and minimise the impact of workplace injuries.

The Opportunity

This role will see you responsible for supporting our Case Managers, by providing general administration and customer service support across the claims we receive. This involves arranging medical examinations, reconciling Member payments and wage reimbursements, following up outstanding reports and accounts, and assisting in the preparation of claim reviews and case conferences.

At times you may also be required to provide direct assistance to our Members and other stakeholders, presenting yourself in a personal, empathetic, and efficient manner.

Your Story

You value providing first class customer service to all stakeholders you engage with and know the importance of timely and professional delivery of service. You're highly organised and can effectively prioritise your time and work to meet deadlines.

You'll have had previous experience working with Microsoft applications, notably Word and Excel. You also enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Previous experience in insurance is desirable but not essential.

Why StateCover?

A career, not just a job. We invest in our people because we know that's how we deliver for our Members and their injured workers. We're passionate about developing talent from within, with many of our team members progressing their careers through internal promotion opportunities. This role provides an excellent foundation for a long-term career in workers compensation claims.

What you'll gain:

The opportunity to work alongside experienced workers compensation professionals in a collaborative, supportive environment. You'll have access to talented specialists while accessing ongoing training and development opportunities. Enjoy hybrid working arrangements supporting your work-life balance. We offer a competitive salary package, comprehensive benefits, reward and recognition programs, and clear career progression pathways within an inclusive culture where you're genuinely set up to succeed.

Ready to Make Your Move?

If you're looking for a role where you can grow your career alongside talented professionals, we'd love to hear from you.

**Please note:**Applicants must have permanent work rights in Australia. All applications are treated with strict confidentiality.
