Key responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing and replenishment activities to maintain healthy stock levels and minimise out-of-stock situations across GT Mart outlets and warehouse
• Monitor category performance, including sales, margin, stock health, inventory turnover and SKU performance, and recommend actions to drive growth
• Plan and execute product assortment, new listings, delisting and seasonal product launches in line with category strategy
• Negotiate cost prices, rebates, trading terms, promotional support and other commercial benefits to maximise category profitability
• Monitor competitor pricing, market trends and consumer demand to identify new product and business opportunities
• Support in developing and implementing category strategies and business improvement initiatives

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related disciplines
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant buying, merchandising, category management, or procurement experience, preferably within grocery, FMCG, retail field
• Mandarin is compulsory for this role, both verbal and written, due to regular communication with Mandarin-speaking supplier
• Strong experience in supplier negotiation, category management, product sourcing, pricing, and promotional planning
• Able to independently manage assigned categories and supplier relationships
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyze sales, margin, stock, and market performance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant business systems
