Assistant Catering Manager

We are looking for a hard‑working, energetic young Assistant Catering Manager who is passionate about the hospitality industry and ready to grow. This role is ideal for someone with food service management training or chef/cooking qualifications, who wants hands‑on experience and real leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Catering Manager with daily operations

Lead kitchen and service staff by example

Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety

Assist with menu planning, stock control, and supplier coordination

Oversee setup and breakdown of events

Ensure punctual, smooth service delivery

Handle basic admin, reporting, and staff scheduling

Uphold excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

21–30 years old (ideal for a young professional starting their career)

Food Service Management diploma OR chef/cooking training

Strong leadership and communication skills

Able to work long hours and thrive under pressure

Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport

Professional, punctual, and committed

Positive attitude and passion for hospitality

Pay: From R15 000,00 per month
