About the Role

Hadoota Masreya is looking for an Assistant Chef to support our kitchen team in Business Bay. You will help prepare authentic Egyptian dishes, maintain consistent quality, and keep the kitchen running smoothly during service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating
• Prepare traditional Egyptian dishes to recipe, portion, and presentation standards
• Supervise kitchen staff during shifts and guide junior cooks and helpers
• Manage station setup (mise en place) before and during service
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients on delivery
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef or Procurement team of shortages
• Reduce wastage and follow portion control to help manage food costs
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
• Follow HACCP, personal hygiene, and Dubai Municipality food safety standards
• Cover for the Head Chef when required

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or Hospitality (preferred)
• 3 to 5 years of kitchen experience, including 1+ year as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian or Middle Eastern cuisine
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Basic English; Arabic is an advantage
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Food safety or HACCP certificate
• Experience in busy restaurants or multi-outlet groups
• Currently in the UAE with a valid visa
