Assistant Child Care

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Assistant to work in the MORNINGS, create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children in a child care in home in Westchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and caring for children of various ages between 1 - 4 years old, ensuring their well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about working with children and is committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
• Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Support preschool-aged children in developing social skills through play and structured activities.
• Educate children on basic concepts such as numbers, letters, colors, and shapes.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom or daycare setting.
• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure the safety of all children in care.

Skills

• Experience in infant care or nannying is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques to address various needs.
• Experience working in preschool or daycare settings is beneficial.
• Ability to create engaging classroom activities that foster learning.
• Spanish knowledge.

Pay: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour
